How Enemy Scaling Works in Dead Island 2¶ Zombies more or less scale to your own level in Dead Island 2, with some exceptions. Generally the stronger your character is, the stronger the zombies you’ll be fighting are, ultimately leading to a feeling of stasis, with the floor for enemy levels being one less than the player’s level.
In Dead Island, all melee based weapons have Durability which is shown as the white bar around the weapon. Durability is shown as a shield icon on the weapon stats and the higher the number it is, the more durability it has so the longer it lasts during combat. Some durability is lost every time you hit an enemy, whether they're alive or on the ground as a dead corpse, however hitting a wall
The throwing knives don't seem to do any more damage or boomerang any more often, so I'm kinda wondering what the point is. The differences/perks are kinda glaringly obvious. Weapons designated specifically as Throwing Weapons do not take up inventory space, stack with themselves the same way as grenades do so they can be thrown in succession
