The car does not heat up and cools as its supposed to. In traffic the temp goes up to abt 105 and goes down to about 99 when normal driving. When accelerating hard it drops to about 83 The car is an E90 320i
Hi, I have a E90 BMW 320D on a 57 plate and I am having problems with the heater motor. The controls do not increase or decrease the speed of the motor and the controls will not turn the motor off either. The display on the controls do function ok tho.. ie..everything lights up correctly as if everything is working ok. To remove stepper motor: ***8226; Detach electrical connector (A). ***8226; Remove mounting bolts (B) and tilt motor out of housing. - During installation, do not twist teeth of motor drive (inset). - After replacement, use BMW scan tool or equivalent to program stepper motor locations.

2011 BMW 535i F10 Heater fan was still working and blowing air but only cold air. I suspected it was the Heater Control Valve and replaced it

2008 BMW e90 Had a bunch of work done recently: 1. New Radiator 2. New Aux Water Pump 3. New Thermostat Since then, I only get hot air through the vents with the heat on when NOT driving. As soon as I start to drive, the air coming through the vents with the heat on goes from Hot, to Cool, to Cold (it's 18 degrees F outside right now).
Reasons: Low coolant levels in your BMW can be caused by a variety of reasons. One potential cause is a leak in the coolant system, which could be due to a damaged hose or radiator. Over time, these components can wear out and develop small holes, causing the coolant to slowly leak out.
2015 BMW 640d Gran [0.00] Finally: heated seat retrofit working. There's good news (mostly for me) and bad news (mostly for everyone else): For those who did not see some of my earlier posts I'll recap. My current 330d E90 M Sport has the interior from my old car in it; this means the seats were heated seats, but the car had no wiring to BMW thermostat prices will vary depending on the model. Generaly speaking older thermostats from the 1990s and earlier cost about $10 - $20 for an OEM equivalent. However, about $40 for a Genuine OEM BMW part. Thermostats with a built-in electrical heater will cost around $48 for an OEM equivalent and about $105 for a Genuine BMW part.

There is only one heater core. The temperature for each side for dual climate is controlled by the blend doors. Sounds like the passenger side blend door is not working. It will take a little work to inspect it. I haven't had to do this on an e90, but have fixed two Jeep Grand Cherokee's with dual climate control.
